Comprehensive Pain management is a branch of medicine that uses a multidisciplinary approach to treat pain conditions. We at Freeport Pain Management center integrate medication management, minimally invasive procedures, rehabilitation therapy, alternative medicine, stress reduction and counseling to achieve a rapid resolution to your pain, and prompt return to regular activities. We provide consultation and management to pain conditions such as:

  • Arthritis
  • Disc Herniation
  • Headaches
  • Neck and Back Pain
  • Muscle Spasm
  • Diabetic related Pain
  • Occupational and accidental Injuries
  • Facial Pain
  • Chronic Illness

Our private offices offer resources and therapies with compassion and patient focused care. To improve our accuracy we do pain management procedures under the guidance of Fluoroscopic and CT machines.

Our procedure protocol includes:

Epidural Steroid Injections Series

Fluoroscopic-guided injection of steroids into the epidural space acts to decrease inflammation and reduce nerve irritation. This will allow you to quickly start a rehabilitation program and a quick recovery. Patients can expect beneficial effects beginning as quickly as 24 to 48 hours.

Trigger Point Injection Therapy

Muscles spasm result when an abnormal accumulation of calcium develops within the muscle fibers causing pain and recruits other muscle group to develop spasm as well. By injecting a small amount of an anesthetic, the muscle is unblocked, relieving pain, relaxing the area of spasm eventually healing the muscle.

Deep Tissue Massage with Stretching under Anesthesia (MUA)

While under a twilight sleep, and inhibited resistance form the patient using general sedation, a team of qualified and trained chiropractic physicians use a highly specialized medical massage and stretching techniques to break fibrosis and areas of spasm and trigger points in muscles.

Pain can result from injury to our nerves, muscles, joints and or bones. The more systems are affected, the more complicated treatment becomes. Complex injuries and complex pain conditions need to be worked on simultaneously with combination of therapies and procedures with a reputation of successful outcome. These therapies and procedures must provide relief of pain, resumption of physical activity, strengthening of injured areas and return to normal daily life.
