Back Flexion (Knee Tuck Stretch)
This stretch is performed by lying on your back and pulling your knees to your chest. Bring your head up to meet your knees, finding a comfortable stretch across your back. You will feel your mid and lower back give way to the stretch. Then, try this stretch with one knee at a time. Lie on your back and bend your knees so that your heels are on the ground. Bring one knee to your chest and feel a stretch in your glutes and lower back. You can gently twist to one side and then the other in this position.
Lunge Stretch
Get on your knees and bring one leg forward so that your foot is on the ground. Feel a stretch in your hips as you maintain an upright posture. You can also lean forward to feel a stretch in the legs and thighs. Reach your arms up to feel a stretch in your back as well.
Child’s Pose
From your knees, bend forward with your arms stretched out in front of you. Your chest and face should be close to the ground. Reach far ahead and feel your back and shoulders release. You can also rest your arms to the sides if you need a more comfortable stance. Hold this position for as long as you like.
